Firmness and serial follow-up of PDLLA nodules

Firmness and serial follow-up of PDLLA nodules. An edited account of source experience, research context and limitations.

Author: Hyemi YuPublished: Updated:

This edited account distinguishes personal experience, laboratory research and clinical studies. Individual suitability requires clinical assessment.

The author recalls both personal nodules and patients’ distress while discussing firmness after PDLLA procedures. Unlike an introduction to nodule types, this account focuses on serial follow-up and communication.

Jelly, candy and rice-cake comparisons describe a sensation rather than a histological diagnosis. Nodules are not all collagen aggregates independent of material; infection, inflammation and material distribution are among different possibilities requiring assessment.

The source describes using ultrasound to review depth, borders and nearby tissues and adjust decisions. Dark appearance alone cannot identify composition, and apparent spreading does not establish treatment success.

Uniform visit schedules such as two or three times weekly and fixed medication sequences are not retained as general guidance. Atrophy, depressions and the need for additional injections also require individual judgment. A case requiring more than one session does not mean everyone needs repeated intervention.
