A personal comparison of PN delivery, pain and bruising
A personal comparison of PN delivery, pain and bruising. An edited account of source experience, research context and limitations.
This edited account distinguishes personal experience, laboratory research and clinical studies. Individual suitability requires clinical assessment.
The author reports comparing PN delivered by a needle on one side of her face and a needle-free jet on the other. Unlike the earlier 3D-study discussion, this article focuses on personally experienced pain, bruising and recovery.
The source describes marks, bruising and swelling on the needle side and less discomfort on the jet side. Screen left and right differ from anatomical left and right, so labels must be read with each source image. 3D colors and vectors also depend on measurement conditions.

After several days, the author felt texture changes on both sides and noted differences in precise needle-depth control and broader jet distribution. A comparison in one person cannot fully control settings, delivered amount, swelling and natural differences.

Jet methods can still cause pain, bruising, swelling or other adverse effects. Claims of safe treatment immediately before an important event, or resolving a needle allergy, were not retained. The reported 2025 presentation and permissions for reusing its materials require separate confirmation.
