A personal account of weight regain and emotional eating
A personal account of weight regain and emotional eating. An edited account of source experience, research context and limitations.
This edited account distinguishes personal experience, laboratory research and clinical studies. Individual suitability requires clinical assessment.
This personal diary describes gradual weight regain after a body-profile shoot while fatigue, headaches, sleep problems and stress overlapped. The author noticed seeking sweets and late snacks after work and caring responsibilities.
A perceived connection between emotions and eating does not explain all weight regain. Emotional eating and a clinical binge-eating disorder are not interchangeable, and neither can be diagnosed from the account.
The source records guilt after late eating and thoughts of restricting food the next morning. Those thoughts are not presented as recommended compensatory fasting or carbohydrate restriction. Analgesics, injections and exercise experiences are also not treatment instructions.
The article retains reflection on fatigue and daily patterns instead of prescribing an intense restart. Small weight changes do not establish failure. Persistent pain, sleep or emotional difficulties may need appropriate support.
