Three factors considered in thread lifting
Three factors considered in thread lifting. Source observations, research context and limitations.
This article discusses the source author’s earlier literature, cases and experiences. Research populations and limitations matter; individual diagnosis and treatment require clinical assessment.
Three considerations in thread lifting
This is a 2021 account organized around fixation, depth and design. It is not interchangeable with current Aptos labeling or a particular product’s technique.
Fixation
Thread structure and fixation can change the force transmitted to tissue. Knotting and double-fixation instructions were omitted. Claims of longer duration require comparative evidence.
Depth
Skin thickness, vessels, nerves and the parotid duct matter. No specialty can claim a universally safe depth. Visible threads, dimpling or exposure need assessment rather than self-massage or pulling.
Design
Skin, fat, skeletal shape and existing asymmetry need to be considered together. Thread number or vector cannot necessarily correct skeletal asymmetry. Prominent cheekbones or lateral hollowing do not have one universal direction of correction.
Discuss goals, limits, recovery and risks. Thread lifting does not stop aging or guarantee a complication-free result.
